About Ame

Amelia Lara (she/her) is a Tkaronto-based Afro-Caribbean creative, connector, social communications specialist, and community organizer. With over ten years of experience, she collaborates with purpose-driven founders and leaders focused on social impact.

For six years, Amelia led Marketing and Communications for an employment social enterprise and one of Canada’s first B Corporations, where she gained hands-on expertise in purpose-driven marketing, storytelling for social impact, and impact reporting.

She is passionate about collaborating with community-led organizations to co-create programs, events, and projects that uplift underserved communities, providing opportunities, resources, and inclusive spaces.

In 2020, she co-founded Creato, a community-led initiative spotlighting and supporting Latinx artists and creatives in Canada. Amelia is dedicated to amplifying impact through effective communication and thoughtful, inclusive design.
